The sex trafficking of women and girls is widespread in India and is on the rise. Victims suffer terribly from this awful crime and it is a serious concern that their suffering is increased when they are treated as criminals.  We acknowledge the steps already taken by the Indian government to curb sex trafficking however we believe that more needs to be done to protect women and girls, to change the attitudes of the Indian people and to curb the demand for sexual services. We invite you to join us in calling for change by signing our petition which is supported by the Jubilee Campaign.

I am adding my voice to call on the government of India to make the purchase of all sexual services illegal and to decriminalize victims of sex trafficking.
